Nicole M. Ovaska, 36, of Worcester, died peacefully Wednesday, March 20, 2024, in UMass Memorial Medical Center—University Campus, after an illness.
Born in Gardner on May 11, 1987, she was the daughter of Mary Lou (Croff) Ovaska of Dayton, OH. She graduated from Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School, Fitchburg with the Class of 2005, where she received her dental assistant certificate and received her medical assistant certificate from Mount Wachusett Community College. Nicole was a machine operator employed by the United States Postal Service working in its Distribution Center. She was previously employed as a dental and medical assistant.
Nicole enjoyed taking trips to the beach, spending many days enjoying the tranquility it brought. Her greatest joy was brought when she was with her family, treasuring the times spent together.
Besides her mother, Nicole is survived by her son, Jaden Ovaska of Worcester; her maternal grandmother, Pauline Croff of Barre; aunt and uncle, David and Trudy Croff of Barre; nieces and nephews, Shelby Craycraft, and Sarea LeValley; and several cousins.
She was predeceased by her sister, Jennifer Ovaska.
A Celebration of Life will be announced and held a later date.
