Nelson L. Lucier, 81, of East Templeton, died peacefully Friday, May 21, 2021, in his residence surrounded by his family after an illness.

Born in Templeton on August 19, 1939, he was the son of the late Henry M. and Jennie E. (Thompson) Lucier. Nelson was a laborer employed by Orelo Landscaping of Holden for 4-years before retiring in 1990. He was previously employed by Rutland Nurseries for several years.

Nelson enjoyed fishing, going for walks, woodworking, painting, and doing yard work. He loved listening to country music and being a jokester. Nelson enjoyed watching baseball and was an avid fan of his Boston Red Sox. But the time that Nelson loved the most was spent with his family.

Nelson is survived by his sisters, Carol Eaton and her husband Douglas of Templeton, Ada Lepage of Baldwinville, and Rose Buzzell of Orange; a brother, Lenny Lucier and his wife Pat of Athol; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was predeceased by his brothers, Henry, Earle, and Harold Lucier; and his sisters, Helen Monette, Ruth Wright, and Francies Nelson.

There are no services.
