Nellie B. (Cyganiewicz) Wesockes, 86, of 71 Lake Street, Gardner died peacefully, Monday, July 20th in The Highlands, Fitchburg, surrounded by her family, following a brief illness.
Nellie was born in Otter River, MA on February 24, 1923, the daughter of the late Stanley and Blanche (Dymek) Cyganiewicz.
She was employed by Simplex Time Recorder of Gardner as an Inspector for nineteen years, retiring in 1988.
Nellie attended Gardner High School, Gardner.
She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Gardner.
Nellie enjoyed cooking Polish foods, baking and spending time with her family.
She was predeceased by her husband, John J. Wesockes who died in 1962.
She leaves one daughter, Mary Ann LeBlanc and her husband Ernie of Gardner; one brother, Joseph Cyganiewicz and his wife Lorraine of Orange; three sisters, Stella Shilko of Greenfield, Mary Harlow of Littleton and Stacy Fredette and her husband George of Gardner; eight grandchildren, Kim Bourgeois of Woodstock, CT, Karen Landry of Lunenburg, Matthew Maillet of Bentonville, Arkansas, Kerry Gallant of CA, Cheryl Adams of Athol, Herve Maillet of Gardner, Erica Maillet of Gardner and Jean-Paul Maillet of Greenfield; thirteen great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Nellie was predeceased by two daughters, Blanche Johnson and Patricia Maillet; two brothers, Leon Cyganiewicz and John Cyganiewicz; and by one sister, Blanche Aucoin.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 27th at 11:00 a.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Gardner.
A calling hour in the funeral home will be Monday, July 27th from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
