Nellie M Perreault

Nellie M. (Haspod) Perreault, 95, of 821 Daniel Shays Highway, Athol, formerly of Regan Street, Gardner died peacefully Tuesday, February 4, 2014 in Quabbin Valley Healthcare, Athol , following a brief illness.
Nellie was born in Fitchburg on April 18, 1918, the daughter of the late Antony and Pauline (Kot) Haspod.
She was employed by Modern Contract Furniture of Gardner as a furniture worker for 15 years, retiring in 1972. She was previously employed by Rousseau Brothers Manufacturing Company of Gardner.
Nellie was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church and its Ladies of Ste. Anne Society, and she belonged to the Adoration Chapel of the Marie Riviere Oratory. Nellie was active for many years with the annual Holy Rosary Bazaar and weekly Bingo.
She enjoyed cooking, sewing, reading, yard work and was an immaculate housekeeper. She enjoyed watching sports on television, especially football, basketball, baseball and wrestling. Nellie most enjoyed spending time with her family.
Nellie was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Oliva W. Perreault, who died in 1991.
She leaves one son, Robert J. Perreault of Orange; two grandchildren, Lisa J. Agnelli and her husband Phillip of Gardner and Evan M. Perreault and his fiancée Julie Stagnone of Gardner; two great-grandchildren, Thomas and Emily Agnelli of Gardner; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one brother, Walter Haspod; one half brother, John Kotowski; one grandson, Matthew Perreault and her daughter-in-law, Linda A. (Laroche) Perreault who died in 2003.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 8th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
Calling hours will be Friday, February 7th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church or Our Lady of the Holy Rosary School, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA 01440.
