Nancy A. (Hanks) (Cormier) Clavette, 66, of 6 Whitney Street, Gardner, and also of Largo, Florida, died Monday, December 27th in her residence surrounded by her family, after a long illness.
Born in Gardner on June 9, 1944, she was the daughter of Leon and Doris (Boisse) Hanks.
She was a housekeeper at C & W Fabricators' office of Gardner for several years until retiring in 2004. She was previously employed by Chair City Upholstery and Fontaine Brothers, both of Gardner.
Nancy was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church.
She enjoyed crocheting and spending her winters in Florida. Her greatest pleasure came from being with her grandchildren.
Her first husband, Gerard O. Cormier, died in 1988.
She leaves her husband of 21 years, Fernand J. Clavette of Gardner and Largo, Florida; 3 sons, Thomas G. Cormier and his wife Christine of South Royalston, Kevin P. Cormier of South Royalston, Alan S. Cormier of Gardner; one stepdaughter, Linda L. Clavette; 2 brothers, Kenneth Hanks and his wife Anita, Edward Hanks and his wife Debbie; one sister, Janice Farnsworth all of Gardner; 6 grandchildren, Ross, Jessica, Jacob, Joshua Cormier, Megan and Sierra Chapman; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by 3 brothers, Richard, Francis and Wayne Hanks.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 30th at 11:00 a.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner. Burial at Notre Dame Cemetery will be at a later date.
Calling hours at the funeral home are Wednesday, December 29th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
