Nancy J. Charland

Nancy J. (Ryder) Charland, 53, a lifelong resident of Templeton passed quietly in her sleep on March 6th 2015.
Born on January 23, 1962 at she was the daughter of the late Floyd E. Ryder Jr. and Muriel E. (Harding) Ryder.
Nancy graduated from Narragansett Regional High School, class of 1980 and earned an Associate degree in Nursing from Mount Wachusett Community College in 1988. Nancy worked at Henry Heywood Hospital for 27 years in various capacities. She was most recently employed as a Registered Nurse at River Terrace Nursing Home in Lancaster, MA.
Nancy was a nurse, caregiver and an amazing friend. She was a loving wife, a dedicated mother and an extraordinarily special sister. Her compassion and love of nursing allowed her to touch, change and even save lives. Nancy had a very special sense of humor, with a passion for life. She made a difference to many and was loved by all. Her willingness to always put others before herself made her simply unforgettable.
Nancy leaves her husband of 12 years, Allan Charland, of Templeton: 2 sons, ,Tyler Langlois of Templeton and Seth Langlois of Gardner; 1 brother, Thomas Ryder of Acton; 4 sisters, Candace Ginns of The Villages, Florida, Janice Cox of Hendersonville NC, Sandra Ryder of Winchendon, MA and Heidi Ressa of Mesa, Arizona; 10 nieces and nephews, Tracy, Nolan, Brandt, Nicholas, Katie, Shannon, Kyle, Olivia, Maddison and Chad.
She was predeceased by her grandparents, Kathleen (Granny) Harding and Malcom Kenneth Harding of Templeton and Floyd and Iva Ryder of Orange, MA.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 14th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a service at 10am at First Church of Templeton, 1 Wellington Rd, Templeton. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Templeton.
Calling hours in the funeral home will be held Friday, March 13th from 5pm-8pm in the funeral home.Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
