Myrtle E. (Smith) Hullette, 81, of 37 Birch Street, Gardner, died peacefully, Tuesday, September 23, 2014 in Gardner Rehabilitation and Nursing of Gardner, following a brief illness.
Born in Gardner on May 3, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Lillian (Maynard) (Smith) Colby.
Myrtle graduated from the former Templeton High School of Templeton with the Class of 1952.
She was a member of Chestnut Street Methodist Church of Gardner. Myrtle was also a member of the American Legion Post 129 of Gardner Woman's Auxiliary, where she served as Secretary and Past President.
Myrtle enjoyed knitting, crocheting and sewing. She treasured spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Francis L. Hullette.
Myrtle leaves two sons, Michael F. Hullette and his wife Lee of Templeton and James A. Hullette of Gardner; one daughter, Nancy McMilleon and her significant other Drew M. Duplessis of Baldwinville; two grandchildren, Jeffrey J. Hullette and Kayla E. McMilleon. She was predeceased by her sister, Hazel Smith.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, October 2nd from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a service and burial at 2:00 p.m. in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Road, Winchendon.
A calling hour will be held Thursday, October 2nd from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
