Mildred M. "Millie" (Manuel) Comeau, 70, of 377 Elm Street, Gardner, died Friday, January 8th in Heywood Hospital, Gardner, following a long illness.
Born in Baie St. Anne, N.B. Canada on May 2, 1939, she was the daughter of Andre and Barbara (Chaisson) Manuel.
Mildred was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, Gardner.
She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, playing Bingo and spending time with her grandchildren.
Mildred leaves her husband of 50 years, Omer Comeau of Gardner; two sons, Vincent J. Comeau and his wife Debra of Gardner and Francis J. Comeau of Gardner; two brothers, Albert Manuel and his wife Lilly and Elias Manuel all of Baie St. Anne, N.B. Canada; five sisters, Doreen Hachey and her husband Alderic, Priscilla Miller and her husband John all of Fredericton, N.B. Canada, Vitaline Hachey and her husband Lucien of Miromichi, N.B.Canada, Jacqueline Lirette and her husband Emilien of Baie St. Anne, N.B. Canada and Genevieve Turbide of St. Louis, N.B. Canada; two grandchildren, Cassie and Lori Comeau of Gardner; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Millie also leaves three very special people, Shannon, Mandy and Heather Kennedy all of Gardner. She was predeceased by two brothers, Clement Manuel and Anthime Manuel, and by three sisters, Madonna Daigle, Dora Daigle and Liza Moorhouse.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, January 13th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
Calling hours in the funeral home are Tuesday, January 12th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
