Michael J. Girouard

Michael J. Girouard, 60, of Montreal, QC, Canada, died unexpectedly Friday, July 14, 2023, at home.

Born in Gardner on July 16, 1962, he was the son of Carmen A. (Voisine) Pellerin and the late Fernand Girouard. He served proudly in the Canadian Army for two years. At the time of his death, Mike worked in Auto Sales at Mercedes-Benz in Montreal.

Mike loved the outdoors, where he enjoyed kayaking and camping. He loved to travel and cook and was a self-proclaimed wine connoisseur. Mike’s greatest joy was spending time with his family, treasuring all the time spent together.

Mike is survived by his wife, Chantal Piette of Montreal, QC, Canada; two sons, Jeremy and Mikael Girouard of Montreal, QC, Canada; his mother and father, Carmen and Leo Pellerin of Gardner; a brother, Daniel Girouard of Gardner; three sisters, Lisa Leger of Moncton, NB, Canada, Nicole Walker and her husband Jay of Westminster, and Gisele Bowers and her husband Jeffrey of Lancaster; nieces and nephews, Vanessa Ouellette, Cassandra Bowers and Jason Walker Jr.; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A Memorial Mass will be held Sunday, September 3, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. in Annunciation Parish at Holy Spirit Chapel, 50 Lovewell Street, Gardner, MA. A Celebration of Mike’s Life will follow at the Acadien Social Club, 193 Parker Street, Gardner, MA.
