Michael A. Barus, 50, of 3 Clark Court, Gardner died Friday, January 2nd, in Heywood Hospital, Gardner, following an illness.
Born in Gardner on November 10, 1953, he was the son of Rudolph J. Barus.
He was a machine operator employed by Newark America of Fitchburg for the last two years. He was previously employed by S. Bent Bros. Co. of Gardner.
He enjoyed weight lifting and playing pool.
He leaves his mother and stepfather, Norman J. and Lois (Erickson) (Barus) Collette of Gardner; 2 daughters, Erin Barus of Gardner and Sara Barus of Miami, FL; 1 brother, Jeffrey S. and his wife, Wendy Barus of Gardner; 3 grandchildren, Katelynn, Desmond and Jacob; 2 aunts, 1 uncle, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He also leaves his fiancee, Tammi (Flagg) Rich of Gardner.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner. Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery, Gardner.
A calling hour at the funeral home will be Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
