Maxine “Max” R. Rogers, 81, of Gardner, died peacefully Sunday, February 7, 2021, at UMass Memorial Medical Center, Worcester, after an illness.
Born in Winchendon on November 4, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Yvonne (Shurtliff) Rogers. Max graduated from Gardner High School with the Class of 1958. She was employed as an Administrative Assistant through the United States Government in Boston for several years until her retirement.
Max was a parishioner of Annunciation Parish/ Holy Spirit Chapel of Gardner. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post #129 and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles 747 Auxiliary, and the Gardner Senior Center. Max loved to play cards and especially enjoyed playing pitch. But the time that she loved the most was spent with her family.
Max is survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by her sister Lillian Lozier; and a brother Charles A. Rogers.
Graveside Services will be held Monday, February 22, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. in Green Bower Cemetery, Winter Street Gardner MA.
