Maxine V Caouette

Maxine V. (Forth) Caouette, 80, of 7460 Lake Breeze Drive, Ft. Meyers, Florida, formerly of Crestwood Drive, Gardner, died peacefully Sunday, April 19th in The Lakes Assisted Living Community, Ft. Meyers, Florida, following an illness.

Maxine was born in Bitumin, PA on June 13, 1928, the daughter of the late Uno and Eva (Summerson) Forth.

She was a homemaker and also worked with her husband at Modern Contract of Gardner.

Maxine was a member of the Chestnut Street United Methodist Church of Gardner. She was a member of Oak Hill Country Club in Fitchburg.

Maxine volunteered with the Hospital Aid Association, the United Way and was formerly a Girl Scout Leader. She enjoyed golfing, bowling, paying bridge and spending time with her family.

Maxine was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Norman R. Caouette, who died in 2005.

She leaves one daughter, Sheila Jalutkewicz and her husband John of Rindge, NH; two grandchildren, Jane Baxter and John Jalutkewicz; several nieces and nephews. Maxine was predeceased by a son, James Caouette who died in 2006, and by a brother, Harold Forth.

Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Gardner at a later date.

There are no calling hours.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Chestnut Street United Methodist Church, 161 Chestnut Street, Gardner, MA 01440.
