Maurice B."Moose" Miller

Maurice B. "Moose" Miller, 72, who resided for the past 46 years in the home he built at 55 Otter River Road, Templeton, died suddenly Sunday, October 12, 2014 in Heywood Hospital, Gardner.
He was born in Gardner on December 31, 1941, the son of the late Maurice A. and Yvonne (Deschnes) Miller.
Maurice graduated from Narragansett Regional High School, Baldwinville with the Class of 1960. He later attended Wentworth Institute of Technology of Boston.
Maurice was employed by B & M Railroad as a truck driver for 30 years, retiring in 2004 and he was a member of the Maintenance of Way Railroad Union.
He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Church of Baldwinville.
Maurice enjoyed photography, splitting wood for heating, and was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. His greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his grandchildren and family.
Maurice leaves his wife of 50 years, Doris I. "Dottie" (Harrison) Miller of Templeton; two sons, Craig T. Miller and his wife Jacqueline of Leominster and Keith T. Miller and his wife Mary of Westminster; one brother, Herbert Davis and his wife Betty of Waterford, WI; three sisters, Judith Misner and her husband Allen of Baldwinville, Unice Dymek and her husband Chester of Gardner and Claire Pray of North Brookfield; former daughter-in-law, Laurie Valcourt-Miller of Otter River; four grandchildren, Shawn Miller, Jake Miller, Dana Miller and Ethan Miller; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Private Graveside Services will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to Templeton Firefighters Association, 2 School Street, Baldwinville, MA 01436.
Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner is handling the arrangements.
