Mrs. Mary A. (Bestre) Piascik, 92, of Montville, NJ for the past eight years, formerly a longtime resident of Gardner, died peacefully Monday, November 15, 2010 in Morristown Memorial Hospital in Morristown, NJ.
Born in Clinton on September 6, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Mary Ann Bestre.
Prior to retiring, Mrs. Piascik was employed by GEM Industries of Gardner as an inspector for 30 years.
Mrs. Piascik was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Gardner.
She was a loving wife and mother, and family meant the world to her. Her greatest enjoyment came from visiting family in Fitchburg, Clinton and Connecticut. Mrs. Piascik loved music and spent many years accompanying her husband to various functions to listen to his band, "Gordon Piascik and his Radio Broadcasting Orchestra" perform.
She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Gordon Piascik, as well as three sisters and two brothers.
Survivors include her two sons, Thomas Piascik and his wife Barbara; and John Piascik and his wife Inci; five grandchildren, Kenneth Piascik and wife Anne, Steven Piascik and wife Randi, Lisa Piascik, Christine Jordan and husband Todd, and Sheri Kamin and husband Justin; and seven great-grandchildren, Evan, Emma, Madison and Matthew Piascik, Nathan and Maxton Jordan, and Ashley Kamin.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, November 22nd from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, Pleasant Street, Gardner. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Gardner.
A calling hour in the funeral home will be Monday, November 22nd from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
