Mary R. Crossman

Mary R. (Parent) Crossman, 85, of 36 Nutting Street, Gardner, died Tuesday, April 26, 2011 in The Highlands, Fitchburg, surrounded by her family, following a brief illness.
Mary was born in Ellensburg, NY on November 19, 1925, the daughter of the late Oliver and Almeda (Perreault) Parent.
Prior to retiring in 1987, Mary was a waitress employed by several local restaurants: Ray's Peter Pan, Hollywood Restaurant, Whitney's Restaurant and Williams Restaurant. She was previously employed by Starret Company of Athol, as a receptionist and clerk in the printing department.
Mary enjoyed playing cribbage, pitch and bingo. She also enjoyed traveling, bowling and dancing, especially square dancing. Mary's favorite television shows were soap operas, "The Price is Right" and "Wheel of Fortune".
Mary leaves her husband of 58 years, Frank R. Crossman of Gardner; two sons, Frank R. "Frankie" Crossman, Jr and his wife Tammy of Dover, NY and Dennis M. Kelly of Cape Cod; one daughter, Ann E. Brasili and her husband Daniel of Gardner; four sisters, Margaret Mojave of Allston, MA, Catherine Method and her husband Dean of Eugene, OR, Shirley Boudreau and her husband Sam of Phoenix, AZ and Gloria Dawson and her husband Ralph of Athol, MA; nine grandchildren, Angela Peck of NH, Shane Kelly of MA, Deanna Phinney of MA, Denise Kline of FL, Derick Brunelle of PA, Danny Brasili of MA, Corey Crossman of NH, Todd Crossman of NH, Troy Crossman of WA; several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Memorial Service will be held Monday, May 2nd at 2:00 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Greenbower Cemetery, Gardner.
A calling hour in the funeral home will be Monday, May 2nd from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
