Mary Anne "Annie" Cormier, 68, of Gardner, died Sunday, April 10, 2016 in Wachusett Manor Nursing Home of Gardner, following a long battle with diabetes.
She was born in Gardner on November 3, 1947, the daughter of the late Emile and Angele (Bastarache) Cormier.
Mary Anne was employed as a clerk in the mailroom of Simplex Time Recorder of Westminster for five years, retiring in 1990. In 1974, she was a Security Guard for the IRS in Andover, MA.
Mary Anne was a member of Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner.
She enjoyed cooking, especially poutines and rapee. She loved hosting jewelry and toy home parties, and she also loved arts and crafts. Mary Anne enjoyed spending time watching her favorite television show the "Honeymooners" with Jackie Gleason.
She leaves her husband of 51 years, Edmond R. Cormier of Gardner; one son, Edmond R. Cormier, Jr. and his wife Cathleen of Gardner; one brother, Arthur Cormier and his wife Lorraine of Gardner; one grandson, Michael R. Cormier; two aunts, Hazel Bastarache and Annette Bastarache; three uncles, Arthur Bastarache, Joseph Bastarache and Edmond Cormier; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her brother, Alfred Cormier.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 15th at 12:00 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
A calling hour will be held Friday, April 15th from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
