Mary A. "Charlie" (Bond) Boynton, 63, of 41 Greenwood Street, Gardner, died Saturday, May 17, 2014 in UMASS Memorial Medical Center, University Campus, Worcester, following a brief illness.
Mary was born in Ayer on August 15, 1950, the daughter of the late Arthur Bond and Theresa (Colard) (Bond) LeBlanc.
She was a nurse employed by Mount Elam Nursing Home of Leominster.
Mary was a member of the Women's Auxilliary of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Post 747 of Gardner.
She loved to garden, attend flea markets and yard sales. She enjoyed walking and going for car rides. Mary had a special way of always making others laugh and smile. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and aunt and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Mary was predeceased by her husband of 29 years, Leslie H. Boynton, who died October 3, 1991.
She leaves one son, Edward Dubuque and his wife Tina of Gardner; five brothers, Lawrence Bond of Gardner, John Bond and his wife Joyce of Gardner, Edward Bond and his wife Linda of Winchendon, Ronald Bond of Gardner and Joseph Bond of Fitchburg; two sisters, Carol Bellevue of Gardner and Debra Evans of Gardner; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mary was predeceased by her daughter, Kim Dubuque; and brother, Robert Bond.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, May 29th at 11:00 a.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Sterling.
A calling hour will be held Thursday, May 29th from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Gardner Animal Control Facility, with checks made payable to City of Gardner Shelter Fund, c/o Board of Health, Room 29, 95 Pleasant Street, Gardner, MA 01440.
