Mary M. (LeBlanc) Boutwell, 88, of 125 Connors St., Gardner died Thursday, April 28th in the Leo P. LaChance Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing, Gardner, following an illness.
Born in Gardner on September 24, 1916, she was the daughter of Antoine and Adeline (Cormier) LeBlanc.
She was employed in the Housekeeping Department of Heywood Hospital, Gardner for 40 years, retiring in 1986.
She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. She was a member of V.F.W. Women's Auxillary Post 129 of Gardner, A.A.R.P., Gardner Golden Agers and enjoyed traveling and playing bingo.
Her husband of 40 years, Donald O. Boutwell Sr., died in 1977.
She leaves 1 son, Donald O. Boutwell Jr. and wife Joyce of Gardner; 2 grandchildren, Scott Boutwell of Phillipston, Linda Shea of Dayton, ME; 1 great-granddaughter, Casey Shea, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 4 brothers, Adelard J., Joseph J., Henry J. LeBlanc all of Gardner and Arthur J. LeBlanc of Brockton.
Funeral services will be held Monday, May 2nd from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 166 Cross St., Gardner. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Gardner.
Calling hours at the funeral home are Sunday, May 1st from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
