Martha J."Marty" Baillargeon

Martha J. "Marty" (Murphy) Baillargeon, 66, of 117 French Road, Templeton, died in her residence surrounded by her loving family, Sunday, November 18th following a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born in Gardner on November 20, 1940, the daughter of the late William P. and Blanche (Lamarche) Murphy.
Martha and her daughter were co-owners of Rubber Stampleton in Templeton for 7 years, until her retirement in 2000. She was previously employed by Central Mass Health Care in Worcester, and was a hairdresser, employed by Armand Hair Salon in Fitchburg.
Martha graduated from Gardner High School with the class of 1958.
Her hobbies included, cooking, music, crocheting, sewing, photography, reading mystery books, flower gardening and watching television, especially crime shows and comedy shows. She was very artistic and enjoyed oil painting, paper-crafts, beading and glass lamp work. Martha loved her grandchildren and most enjoyed spending time with them.
She leaves her husband of 44 years, Roland A. Baillargeon of Templeton; one son, James R. Baillargeon of Templeton; three daughters, Deborah L. Baum of Utica, NY, Michelle D. Baillargeon of Cottonwood, AZ and Pamela K. Nugent of Templeton; four brothers, James F. Murphy and his wife Barbara of Palm Coast, FL, Franklin J. Murphy of Gardner, Mark D. Murphy and his wife Claire of Templeton and Paul B. Murphy and his wife Marcia of Templeton; five grandchildren, Taryn, Paige and Stephanie Baum, Matthew Nugent and Allyson Simkiewicz; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a brother, Armand W. Murphy who died September 24, 2006.
Funeral services and burial will be held Wednesday, November 21st in the Massachusetts Veteran Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon at 2:30 pm.
Calling hours in Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, will be Tuesday, November 20th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Gardner Visiting Nursing Association, Hospice Program, 34 Pearly Lane, Gardner, MA 01440.
