Mark L. Glancey, 42, of 38 West Broadway, Gardner, died unexpectedly Thursday, January 24th in Heywood Hospital, Gardner, shortly after being stricken ill at home.
Born in Gardner on May 15, 1965, he was the son of Arlen R. Glancey and Linda B. (Boynton) (Glancey) Gaidanowicz.
Mark was a self-employed carpenter.
He was a 1983 graduate of Quabbin Regional High School, Barre.
Mark was a sports fan who enjoyed watching football, baseball and hockey. He also enjoyed fishing and walking. Mark especially loved playing guitar with his son.
He leaves his father, Arlen R. Glancey and his wife Carolyn (Narva) Glancey of Barre; his mother Linda B. (Boynton) (Glancey) Gaidanowicz and her husband Leon Gaidanowicz of Hubbardston; a son, Patrick A. Glancey of Hubbardston; 2 stepbrothers, Paul Lucier of Spencer, Dereck Gaidanowicz of Hubbardston; 2 sisters, Charlene R. Picucci and her husband Thomas of Jaffrey, NH, Sharon L. Whitney and her husband Mark of Las Vegas, NV; 4 stepsisters, Debra L. Waugh and her husband Thomas of North Brookfield, Robin Sisco and her husband Lenny of Spencer, Angela DiPrima of Gardner, Tina Sands and her husband Ryan of West Palm, FL; 1 uncle, W. Reed Boynton and his wife Claudia of Gardner, 1 cousin, Crystal Boucher and her husband Jay of Gardner; 1 godson and nephew, Nathan T. Picucci of Jaffrey, NH, and his fiancée, Brenda Leary of Gardner.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Gardner.
A calling hour at the funeral home will be Tuesday, January 29th from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
