Marion L. (Levasseur) Larocque, 84, of 104 Church St., Gardner and West Largo, FL, died Tuesday, April 12th in the Southern New Hampshire Medical Center, Nashua, NH, following an illness.
Born in Gardner on July 16, 1920, she was the daughter of Edouard and Anna (Tetreault) Levasseur.
She was a bookkeeper employed by the former Robillard's Pharmacy of Gardner for several years until retiring in 1974. She was formerly employed by Thayer Mfg. Co. of Gardner. She was also a Teacher Aide at Waterford Street School.
She was a 1938 graduate of Gardner High School.
Mrs. Larocque was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church. She was a member of the MASS Association of the Blind and Two Hearts as One Square Dance Club. She enjoyed shopping, bingo and playing cards. She loved her grandson.
Her husband of 50 years, Valmore A. Larocque, died in 1993.
She leaves 1 son, Scott V. Larocque and wife Tammie of Nashua, NH; 1 grandson Alexander S. Larocque of Nashua, NH; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by 3 brothers, George, Leo and Rene Levasseur and 2 sisters, Yvette Beauchemin and Corinne Savaria.
At her request a Memorial Mass will be held Wednesday, April 20th @ 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols St., Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Natick, MA 01760 or to the Berman-Gund Laboratory for the Study of Retinal Degeneration, c/o Dr. Eliot L. Berson, 243 Charles St., Boston, MA 02114.
The Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner is in charge of arrangements.
