Marion L. Alexander

Marion L. (Rice) Alexander, 81, of Gardner, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2022, in UMass Memorial Medical Center—University Campus, Worcester.

Born in Worcester on September 16, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Duncan A. and Bernice I. (Hannah) Rice. She graduated from Worcester High School and received a certificate from hairdressing school. Marion was a Sales Associate employed by Target for several years.

Marion enjoyed shopping and watching home makeover shows on television. Her greatest joy was found when she was with her family, always treasuring the special moments they had together.

Marion is survived by her son, Donald Killelea and his wife Jean of Gardner; four daughters, Debby Ranno of South Carolina, Lori Hatfield and her husband Jack of Tennessee, Maureen Skrydlinski and her husband Steven of North Carolina and Mary Bunce of New Hampshire; several grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Gallager of Leominster; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was predeceased by her husband of 37-years, Wayne Alexander, who died in 2020; a daughter, Barbara Derleth; and a brother, Duncan Rice.
