Mariette LaChance

Mariette (Jean) LaChance, 83, of Gardner, died Wednesday, November 21, 2012 in her residence surrounded by her family.
Born in Fall River on December 22, 1928, she was the daughter of Adelard and Annette (Lagasse) Jean.
Mrs. LaChance was a 1946 graduate of Thibodeau Business College in Fall River.
Mrs. LaChance was a volunteer in the office of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary School, Gardner. She was previously employed in the State Tax Office of Fall River for several years.
Mariette was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church and for many years, served as a Eucharistic Minister.
She was a member of DAV Women's Auxiliary Chapter 70 of Gardner and also a member of the Army Auxiliary of the Retired Officers' Association.
Her husband of 44 years, Bertrand L. LaChance, died in 1997.
She leaves a son, five daughters, a brother, a sister, eight grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 26th from the Boucher Funeral Home, 110 Nichols St., Gardner with a Mass at 11:30 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols St., Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
Calling hours at the funeral home are Monday, November 26th from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
