Marie P. Manca

Marie P. (Fougere) Manca, 73, of 155 Airport Road, Gardner died peacefully Tuesday, January 8, 2013 in Heywood Hospital, Gardner surrounded by her family.
Marie was born in Grand Digue, N.B. Canada on May 23, 1939, the daughter of the late Willie and Evangeline (Maillet) Fougere.
She graduated from Gardner High School, Gardner with the Class of 1956.
Marie was most recently a homemaker, and was previously employed by The Gardner News in the circulation department.
She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Gardner.
Marie enjoyed trips to Foxwoods and Atlantic City, and loved to play Bingo. Her most treasured times were those spent with her family and grandchildren.
She leaves her husband of 53 years, Charles J. Manca of Gardner; two sons, Steven C. Manca of Gardner and Dino C. Manca of E. Boston; two daughters, Charlene M. Laperriere and her husband Scott of Templeton and Christina R. Bryant and her husband Carey of Gardner; four brothers, Alcide Fougere of Fitchburg, Neri Fougere of NH, Clarence Fougere of Gardner and Donald Fougere of East Boston; two sisters, , Doris LeBlanc of FL, Rita Plamondon of FL; eight grandchildren, Nicole, Dylan, Hannah, Justin, Austin, Meghan, Rachel and Douglas; one great-grandchild, Aiden; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her son, Thomas C. Manca; two brothers, Raymond Fougere and Roger Fougere; and by three sisters, Dorilla Richard, Irene Girouard and Rachel Maillet.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 11th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 166 Cross Street, Gardner. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Gardner.
Calling hours in the funeral home will be Thursday, January 10th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
