Marie Rose Leger

Marie Rose (LeBlanc) (Paradis) Leger, 98, of Baldwinville, formerly a lifelong resident of Gardner, died peacefully July 29, 2018 in Alliance Health at Baldwinville, Sunday, July 29, 2018.

Marie was born in Gardner on May 24, 1920, the daughter of the late Arthur and Cecile (Cormier) LeBlanc.

She was a member of Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner. Marie was also a member of the Gardner Golden Agers and the Gardner Senior Center.

Marie enjoyed crocheting, knitting, playing Bingo and cards. She spent her life as a homemaker caring for her family whom she loved dearly.

Marie was predeceased by her first husband, Jean Paradis who died in 1971; and by her second husband, Antoine J. Leger who died in 2002.

She leaves five sons, James L. Paradis and his wife Judy of Florida, Rene R. Paradis of Wisconsin, Jean M. Paradis of Winchendon, Rodney R. Paradis and his wife Patricia of Baldwinville and Dennis J. Paradis and his wife Sheila of Baldwinville; two daughters, Elaine L. LeBlanc and her husband Harold of Fitchburg, and Janice A. LeBlanc and her husband Gerald of Winchendon; 23 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Marie was predeceased by her daughter-in-law, Valerie Paradis; six brothers, Roger LeBlanc, Rev. Omer LeBlanc, Romeo LeBlanc, Donald LeBlanc, Norman LeBlanc and Alfred LeBlanc; and three sisters, Estelle Hedges, Lily Adams and Aline Peters.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, August 7th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.

A calling hour will be held Tuesday, August 7th from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
