Marie (Larcenaire) LeBlanc, 105, of 51 Hospital Road, Baldwinville, formerly of 124 Marquette Street, Gardner for many years, died peacefully in the Lord's embrace Friday June 7, 2013 in the Baldwinville Nursing Home, Baldwinville.
Born on September 8, 1907 in New Brunswick, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Pierre and Eugenie (Girouard) Larcenaire.
Marie was employed by Thayer Manufacturing Company of Gardner as a stitcher for 35 years, retiring in 1972.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner.
Marie loved to cook, and her cooking talents led her to owning and operating a restaurant in Princeton, MA for many years. She was an exercise fanatic her entire life, which continued well into her 90's. Marie was a loving caretaker for many, many people throughout her life. She was a devout Catholic and recited the Rosary daily. She was a huge fan of Lawrence Welk, and she especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
Marie was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Richard LeBlanc.
She leaves one son, Roger LeBlanc and his wife Thelma of Gardner; one daughter, Lorraine E. Skorko of Baldwinville; one sister, Rita Girouard of Moncton, N.B. Canada; one sister-in-law, Theresa Larcenaire of Gardner; five grandchildren, Gary R. LeBlanc, Diane B. Beauregard, Steven G. Skorko, Marie A. Stellato and Glenn R. Skorko; nine great-grandchildren, Amy Beauregard, Jay Beauregard, Jeron LeBlanc, Sarah Skorko, Rebekah Skorko, Benjamin Fini, Andrew Fini, Alex Stellato and Daniel Stellato; four great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by four brothers, Armand, Theophile, Joseph and Albert Larcenaire; and by two sisters, Bella Goguen and Edna Larcenaire.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, June 10th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
Calling hours will be Sunday, June 9th from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
