Marie Emma (Boucher) Bushey, 74, of 162 Blanchard Street, Gardner died Saturday, January 5th in UMASS Medical Center, University Campus, Worcester following a brief illness.
Born in Gardner on January 13, 1933, she was the daughter of Edmond and Sarah (Cormier) Boucher.
Prior to retiring in 1994, Mrs. Bushey was a nurses aide for 20 years employed at the Baldwinville Nursing Home, Baldwinville.
Emma attended Gardner High School, Gardner.
Mrs. Bushey enjoyed quilting and crafts. She was a member of the Chair City Pipers of Gardner.
Emma was predeceased by her husband of 32 years, Charles J. Bushey, who died April 19, 1987.
She leaves three sons, Martin Bushey and his wife Brenda of Madison, AL, James Bushey of Las Vegas, NV and Francis Bushey of Athol, MA; one daughter, Cecile Bushey of West Boylston, MA; three sisters, Rita Tourigney and her husband Peter of Melbourne, FL, Sister Jacenta-Viola Boucher of the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary of Manchester, NH and Florence Streeter of Baldwinville, MA; one grandchild, James E. Bushey of Madison, AL and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by four brothers, Calixte, Alfred, Omer and Ernest Boucher; and by four sisters, Rose D'Ambroise, Alice Boucher, Clara Boucher and Florine Boucher.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 9th at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
