Marian L. (Hicks) Clairmont, 82, of Baldwinville, formerly of Dover, Delaware and South Glens Falls, NY died peacefully Tuesday, March 28, 2017 in the Baldwinville Nursing Home.
Born in Hartford, NY on April 10, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Floyd H. and Lucy (LaFoy) Hicks.
Marian graduated from Hartford High School with the Class of 1951.
She was employed in the customer service department of Web Graphics of Glens Falls, NY for 12 years, retiring in 1999.
Marian was a member of United Methodist Church of South Glens Falls, NY.
She loved the outdoors and enjoyed spending time gardening, fishing and traveling. Marian also enjoyed playing cards, and she adored her cat 'Boots'. She was a member of the Harvest Years Senior Center and the Modern Maturity Center, both of Dover, Delaware. Marian proudly volunteered for many years with the USO at Dover Air Force Base.
She was predeceased by her husband of 12 years, Nicholas Clairmont, who died in 2012.
Marian leaves one son, Kyle LaPierre and his wife Susan of South Glens Falls, NY; one daughter, Renee M. LaPierre of Hubbardston; two grandchildren, Tyler Cogovan of Glens Falls, NY and Amanda Montello of Saratoga Springs, NY; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her daughter, Laura Lee LaPierre; two brothers, Melvin and Darwin Grant; and by one sister, Evelyn Gonyea.
