Marguerite D. Beattie, 90, of 207 Nichols Street, Gardner, formerly of Hitching Post Camp Ground, Naples FL., died suddenly September 28th in Heywood Hospital, Gardner.
Born in Marlboro, MA on November 3, 1915, she was the daughter of Joseph and Florence (LaGrandeur) Boudreau.
Marguerite was a graduate of Salter Secretarial School in Worcester.
She was an Administrative Assistant employed at Framingham Hospital in the Framingham Heart and Epidemiology Study for 25 years, retiring in 1975.
Marguerite was a member of the church choir when she resided in Naples, FL. She enjoyed reading, gardening and crafts.
Her husband of 41 years, Christopher H. Beattie died in 2003.
She leaves 3 daughters, Doris M. Thompson and her husband Peter of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Elaine A. Bonica and her husband Thomas of Bethel, Maine, Mary L. McCulley and her husband Paul of S. Lancaster, MA; 7 grandchildren, Barbara Smith, Paul McCulley, Brian Thompson, David Thompson, James Thompson, Tammy Dragon, Edward Dragon, Jr., several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 3 brothers, Joseph, Harold and Arthur Boudreau; 1 sister Evelyn Belmore; and by her son Edward Dragon.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, October 11th at 9:00 a.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Marlboro, MA.
A calling hour at the funeral home will be Wednesday, October 11th from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
