Margaret M. "Peg" (Glasheen) Nolin,75, of 125 Connors Street, Gardner, and formerly of 110 Sand Street, Gardner, died peacefully, Friday, March 6th in Heywood Hospital, Gardner.
Born in Athol on October 14, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Margaret (Molloy) Glasheen.
Peg was a receptionist employed by New England All Bank for twenty years, retiring in 1999. She was previously employed by Starretts of Athol and H & R 1871, LLC of Gardner.
Peg graduated from Athol High School, Athol with the Class of 1952.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, Gardner. Peg was also a member of the Gardner Chapter of the A.A.R.P. and was a member of Silver Sneakers. Peg was a volunteer at Heywood Hospital, Gardner for five years. She enjoyed traveling, eating out with friends and especially enjoyed time spent with her family.
Peg was predeceased by her husband of 26 years, Joseph H. Nolin, who died September 17, 1990.
She leaves two sons, Bruce J. Nolin of Gardner and Steven J. Nolin and his wife Carol of Gardner; two grandchildren, Kristina L. and Brian J. Nolin of Gardner; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one brother, Robert Glasheen, Jr.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 10th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner, at a later date.
Calling hours in the funeral home are Tuesday, March 10th from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
