Margaret R. "Miggy" (Hill) Allain, 83, of 81 Chatham Street, Worcester, formerly of 4 Williams Street, Gardner, died peacefully Saturday, November 29th in St. Vincent's Hospital, Worcester following a long illness.
Born in Gardner on November 7, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Clifton and Eva (LaPrade) Hill.
Mrs. Allain was a store clerk employed by J.J. Newbury of Gardner for several years, retiring in 1980. She was formerly employed by Brown Bros. of Gardner.
Mrs. Allain was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Gardner.
She enjoyed spending time in Hampton Beach, NH.
Mrs. Allain was predeceased by her husband of 32 years, Andrew J. Allain who died February 1, 2006.
She leaves on sister, Dorothy Porn of Gardner; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by five sisters, Mildred Lefebvre, Kathryn Hill, Leona Cormier, Marjorie Hubbard and Barbara Morse.
A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, December 5th at 10:00 a.m. in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 166 Cross Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
There are no calling hours.
