Marenka A Bouthot

Marenka A. (Multrus) Bouthot, 85, of Hubbardston, formerly of East Templeton, died peacefully Sunday, June 14, 2015 in Heywood Hospital of Gardner, following a brief illness.
Born in Czechoslovakia on August 29, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Vaclav and Marie (Zackova) Multrus.
Marenka received her early education in Czechoslovakia. She later attended Mount Wachusett Community College of Gardner and also studied at the Worcester Art Museum.
Marenka was an accomplished artist who enjoyed painting and sculpting. She sold her paintings at Marenka's Wickery, a store in downtown Gardner which she owned and operated for many years. She was previously a manager of Ridgewood Arms and Meadowbook Lane of Gardner and was also a hostess at the Old Mill Restaurant of Westminster for several years.
Marenka was a member of Holy Cross Church of Templeton. She was a member of Chair City Pipers, the Stratton Playhouse of Fitchburg, the Gardner Theatre Guild and the Theatre at the Mount of Gardner and was also active in 'Dollars for Scholars'.
She leaves two sons, Michael J. Bouthot and his fiancé Alice of Templeton and Mark S. Bouthot of E. Templeton; one daughter, Rena M. Nelson and her husband Jeffrey of Gardner; three sisters-in-law, Theresa Bouthot LaChance of Gardner, Florence Bouthot Bachand of Brunswick, Maine and Patricia Bouthot Dagenais of Manchester, CT; two grandchildren, Angelique Bouthot and Michelle MacAloney; two great-grandchildren, Tamara Hayes and Trevor MacAloney; two great-great-grandchildren, Oscar and Annabelle Preciado; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by two brothers, Vaclav Multrus and Vladimir Multrus.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, June 22nd at 11:00 a.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner. Reverend David Cote will officiate. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Gardner.
A calling hour will be held Monday, June 22nd from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Templeton Firefighters Association, 2 School Street, Baldwinville, MA 01436.
