Marceline G. "Marcy"(Petitti) Dembek, 79, of 200 Sherman St., Gardner, died Thursday, November 3rd in the Leo P. LaChance Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing, Gardner, following a long illness.
Born in Gardner on June 2, 1926, she was the daughter of Joseph and Viola (Debois) Petitti.
She was a teacher aide employed by the City of Gardner, Elm Street School for 6 years, retiring in 1986.
She was a 1944 graduate of Gardner High School. She was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church.
Mrs. Dembek enjoyed reading, walking, crafts, doing crossword puzzles and going to Ogunquit, ME.
Her husband of 39 years, Stanley V. Dembek, died in 1987.
She leaves 1 son, Gary F. Dembek of Gardner; 2 daughters, Deborah M. Dembek of Long Beach, CA and Julie A. Dembek of Westminster; 1 sister, Joan Hines and husband Warner of Rindge, NH; 1 grandson, Anthony V. Leroy of Westminster; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a sister, Marian Robichaud of Gardner.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 8th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols St., Gardner. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Gardner.
Calling hours at the funeral home are Monday, November 7th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
