Madeleine (LeBlanc) Cormier, 95, of 269 Coleman St., Gardner and also of West Palm Beach, FL, died Tuesday, February 8th in Baldwinville Nursing Home, Baldwinville, following an illness.
Born in St. Damien, NB Canada on September 30, 1909, she was the daughter of Adelard and Emma (Gaudet) LeBlanc.
She was an assembler employed by Ray Plastic of Winchendon for 15 years. Before relocating to the United States she owned and operated a hotel in Moncton.
Mrs. Cormier was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner and also Saint Luke Church, Palm Springs, FL.
Her husband of 54 years, Joseph T. Cormier, died in 1984.
She leaves 3 sons, Ulysse Cormier and wife Therese Cormier of Gardner, J. Yvon Cormier and wife Alfredine (Paulin) Cormier of Oakland, ME, Val J. Cormier and fiancee Denise Voisine of Gardner; 1 daughter Imelda C. LeBlanc and special friend Leo Robichaud of Gardner; 9 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a son Oris Cormier who died in 1948, a daughter Lillianne Cormier, 2 brothers Alyre and Adelard LeBlanc and a sister Mathilde Boudreau.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 12th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols St., Gardner. Burial will be in Lake Worth Memory Garden, Lake Worth, FL.
Calling hours at the funeral home are Friday, February 11th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
