M. Geraldine Arsenault

M. Geraldine (Allen) Arsenault, 84, of 61 Lake Street, Gardner died peacefully in her sleep Saturday, August 20, 2011 in Heywood Hospital, Gardner.
Born in Mexico, Maine on December 29, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Fabianna (Trial) Allenn. Gabrielle spent her early years in Mexico and Rumford, Maine.
Geraldine graduated from Gardner High School with the Class of 1945. She was employed for several years by Berkey Photo in Fitchburg as a cashier, retiring in 1988. She was previously a caser for 30 years, employed by several different chair factories in Gardner.
Geraldine was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Gardner. She was also a member of the Gardner Women's Golf Association and the Gardner Senior Citizens.
She was always active and enjoyed, playing Bingo, cribbage, Whist, Pitch and Poker. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, sewing, bowling and skiing. She also enjoyed going to yard sales. During her mid forties she began playing golf and won many trophies and championships.
Geraldine was predeceased by her husband of 43 years, Stephen Walter Arsenault, who died May 25, 1991.
She leaves two sons, Allen P. Arsenault of Orange and Chris T. Arsenault of Winchendon; two daughters, Judith A. Arsenault of Leominster and her ex-husband Michael Arsenault of Leominster, and Nancy J. Arsenault of Gunnersville, Alabama; three sisters, Irene Fournier of Gardner, Anita LeRoy and her husband Lawrence of Winchendon and Janice Plante of Rumford, Maine; seven grandchildren, Anne Danio, Dustin Arsenault, Corey Arsenault, Kelly Maroudas, Jacob Arsenault, Olivia Arsenault and Jade Arsenault; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Geraldine was predeceased by one sisters, Barbara Maillet.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, August 26th with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 166 Cross Street, Gardner.
There are no calling hours.
Memorial contributions may be made for Masses in Geraldine's memory.
Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner is handling the arrangements.
