Lui Suey Wu, 98, of 15 Greenwood Place, Gardner, died Sunday, June 24th in her residence.
She was born in China on December 22, 1908, the daughter of the late Quin Don Wu and Nin Lin (Chin) Wu.
Lui was a garment worker in the New York City area for many years, retiring in 1975.
She enjoyed sewing, reading, cooking and doing laundry.
Lui was predeceased by her husband of 78 years, James Dong.
She leaves a son, Franklin Teong and his wife Diane of Gardner with whom she lived; a daughter Me Quie Chin and her husband Warren of San Francisco, CA; a sister Suey Jin Wu of Quincy, MA; 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a daughter, Lon Pin Dong who died in 1993.
Funeral services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family. Private burial of cremains in New York at a later date.
There are no calling hours.
