Lucy T. Chagnon

Lucy T. “Sitto” (Helow) Chagnon, 99, of Ocala, FL, formerly of Gardner and Otter River, died peacefully Thursday, December 2, 2021.

Born in Gardner on September 1, 1922, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Ferris) Helow. Lucy was a Machine Operator employed by Mead Container for 21-years prior to her retirement in 1960.

Lucy was a parishioner of the former Sacred Heart of Jesus Church of Gardner. She enjoyed playing BINGO and working on puzzles. Lucy loved to travel, visiting many places throughout the years, her favorite trip being to Jamaica. Her greatest joy was her family, treasuring time spent with them.

Lucy is survived by her daughter, Suzan Beaudreault and her husband Raymond of Ocala, FL; her grandchildren, Carrie Hollyer, Bryan Willis and his wife Lindy and Sonya Willis; her great-grandchildren, Tynan Hollyer and Taylor and Myles Willis; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was predeceased by her husband, Edward Chagnon; a son, Fred Lucier; her sisters, Nora Patriquin, Josephine Sission and Tillie Sbrocca; and her brothers, Edmond, Donald, Edward, and Francis Helow

A Calling Hour will be held Saturday, May 21, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 pm. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc.. 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA 01440. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery, West Street, Gardner, MA.
