Lucina M Poirier

Lucina M. (Poirier) Poirier, 90, of 7 Mission Street, Gardner, formerly of Pine Street, Gardner, died peacefully Wednesday, April 23, 2014 in HealthAlliance Leominster Hospital, surrounded by her loving family, following a brief illness.
Lucina was born in Gardner on March 29, 1924, the daughter of the late Simon Joseph and Marguerite (LeBlanc) Poirier.
She was employed in the cafeteria of Digital Manufacturing Company of Westminster for many years. She was previously employed by Sauquoit Paper Company of Gardner.
Lucina was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, Gardner and its' Ladies of Ste. Anne Society. She was also a member of the Templeton Fish and Game, Gardner Golden Agers and the Silver Sneakers Fitness Program.
Lucina was a beautiful woman, both inside and out. She loved life and lived every day to its fullest. She enjoyed long car rides, loved to dance and was a huge fan of horror movies, which was a favorite pastime she and her grandson shared. She treasured time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Ernest J. Poirier, who died December 9, 2006.
She leaves one son, Gordon E. Poirier and his wife Sandra M. of Hubbardston; two daughters, Michelle M. Keeney and her husband John of Gardner and Denise S. Kuehl and her husband Joseph of Baldwinville; three grandchildren, Rocco Dellasanta and his wife Jennifer, Joseph Kuehl and Jodi Thompson-Campos and her husband Tony; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her brother, Antoine Poirier and by two sisters, Viola Stropparo and Doris R. Camden.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 26th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
A calling hour will be held Saturday, April 26th from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
