Lucille A. Brodeur

June 21, 1917 — December 4, 2007

Lucille A. (Couture) Brodeur, 90, of 51 Hospital Road, Baldwinville, formerly of 378 West Street, Gardner, died Tuesday, December 4th surrounded by her family in the Baldwinville Nursing Home, following a long illness.

She was born in Gardner on June 21, 1917, the daughter of Alfred G. and Marie (Hullette) Couture.

Mrs. Brodeur was a 1937 graduate of Gardner High School. She was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church and its Ladies of St. Anne Society.

Lucille was a homemaker, devoting her life to her family, whom she deeply loved. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, needlepoint work and loved to play the piano. Lucille lived her life always willing to give of herself to others, she will be greatly missed.

Lucille was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Yvon H. Brodeur, who died December 12, 1996.

She leaves one son, Philip Y. Brodeur and his wife Cheryl A. of Gardner; two daughters, Jacqueline M. Kraskouskas and her husband Anthony P. of Gardner, and Georgette L. Pollard and her husband Michael D. of Tolland, CT; ten grandchildren, Anthony P. Kraskouskas III, Michael J. Kraskouskas, Lynne M. Kraskouskas-Merriman, Jennifer A. Brooks, Mark D. Pollard, Kathleen A. Ochab, Jeffrey A. Pollard, Adam P. Brodeur, Matthew R. Brodeur and Travis N. Brodeur; eleven great-grandchildren, Katie, Amelia and Malakai Kraskouskas, Ellen Brooks, Caroline, Catie and Joshua Pollard, Jacob, Ian and Noah Ochab, and Ryan M. Brodeur; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Edmund and Rudolph Couture; two sisters, Marie Loretta Cote and Jeannette Couture, and by a great-grandson, Shane Merriman who died October 20, 2007.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 8th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.

Calling hours in the funeral home will be Friday, December 7th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
