Luciette R. "Lucy" "Madame Beaulieu" (Roy) Beaulieu, 88, of 230 Ryan Street, Gardner, died peacefully Saturday, January 3, 2015 in her residence.
Born in Berlin, NH on October 30, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Phillip and Alice (Dubois) Roy.
Luciette graduated from Berlin High School of Berlin, NH. She received her Bachelor's Degree in English from the University of New Hampshire and her Master's in Education from Fitchburg State University.
Luciette was a school teacher in the Leominster Public School Department for 20 years, retiring in 1988. During WWII she was employed by the United States Naval Department in Washington, D.C.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner, and was the church organist for Our Lady of the Lake Church of Leominster.
Luciette enjoyed knitting, traveling and was an avid reader. She enjoyed spending time going to yard sales and being with her family. Her favorite television shows were Masterpiece Theatre on PBS and Chef Anthony Bourdain.
Luciette was a member of the Daughters of Isabella, the Fortnightly Club of Leominster and the National Educators Association.
She leaves three daughters, Giselle Beaulieu of Shirley, Suzanne Robichaud and her husband Yvon of Gardner and Michelle Vaughan and her husband Richard, Jr. of Weymouth, MA; one brother, Gerard Roy and his wife Gwendolyn of MD; one sister, Yolande Thompson of Elk Grove, CA; three grandchildren, Daniel LaCruz, Amanda Citrone, Richard Vaughan III; three great-grandchildren, Aurora LaCruz, Atticus LaCruz and Vivian Citrone; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her grandson, Robert LaCruz.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, January 24th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 12:00 p.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 110 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery Gardner.
Calling hours will be held Saturday, January 24th from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
