Louise M. McGuire

Louise M. (Manca) McGuire, 94, of Gardner, died peacefully Sunday, May 26, 2024, in Heywood Hospital, Gardner, after an illness with her family by her side. 

Born in Gardner on April 15, 1930, she was the daughter of the late John and Rose (Cosentino) Manca. Louise was a materials handler employed by Bercon Manufacturing of Gardner for 20 years before her retirement in 1987. 

Louise was a parishioner of the former Sacred Heart of Jesus Church of Gardner and Annunciation Parish of Gardner. Louise lived a life full of joy. Louise relished trips to Foxwood’s and cherished her favorite television shows. Her home was always immaculate, a testament to her meticulous nature. But above all, Louise’s heart belonged to her family. Every moment spent together was a treasure she held dear. 

Louise is survived by her two stepchildren, Steve McGuire of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Sharen Holbert and her husband Homer of Myrtle Beach, SC; two brothers, Charles J. Manca of Gardner, and John “Dutchie” F. Manca and his wife Dorina of Gardner; a sister, Rosemarie Floria of Gardner; five step-grandchildren, eight step-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. 

She was predeceased by her husband of 30 years, Harry L. McGuire, who died in 1998; three brothers, Anthony, David, and Peter Manca; and a sister, Carmella Russo; two stepchildren Charles McGuire and Rebecca Hopkins.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, June 3, 2024, from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA, with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Annunciation Parish at Holy Spirit Chapel, 50 Lovewell Street, Gardner, MA. Burial will follow at St. John’s Cemetery, West Street, Gardner, MA.

Calling Hours will be held Sunday, June 2, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
