Louise Rose Landry

Louise Rose (Laroche) Landry, 86, of 821 Daniel Shays Highway, Athol and formerly of 377 Park St., Gardner where she lived for 41 years until moving to Athol, died peacefully Saturday, March 19th in Athol Hospital, Athol.
Born in Gardner on May 27, 1924, she was the daughter of Arthur W. and Rose Aimee (Rochfort) Laroche.
Louise was a cafeteria worker employed by the City of Gardner for 10 years until retiring in 1986.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church.
She was a lifetime member of the Women's Auxiliary, Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 70. Louise was an avid bingo player and a loyal Boston Red Sox baseball fan. She found much pleasure in traveling to Wells, Maine.
Her husband of 43 years, Arthur "Jeff" D. Landry, died in 1985.
She leaves 7 sons, Jeffrey A. Landry and his wife Erana, Donald L. Landry and his wife Sheila, Robert J. Landry and his wife Karen, Dennis P. Landry and his wife Jean all of Gardner, Raymond C. Landry and his wife Maureen of Westminster, Paul H. Landry and his wife Wanda of Athol, Arthur D. Landry Jr. and his wife Susan of Oxford, NC; 3 daughters, Diane L. Dack and her husband Francis of Winchendon, Louise T. Wironen of Gardner, Sheree Szoc and her husband Brian of Gardner; 24 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by 3 brothers, Napoleon, Arthur and Leo Laroche, and 4 sisters, Jeannette Pitkiewicz, Germaine Theriault, Alice Dupre and Aurore Valois.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 23rd from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols St., Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
Calling hours at the funeral home are Tuesday, March 22nd from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
