Louise D. (Kelley) (Paradise) Gagne, 104, of 89 Barre Road, Hubbardston, formerly of Gardner, died peacefully Thursday, December 15, 2011 in her residence surrounded by her family and close friends.
Born in Gardner on September 23, 1907, she was the daughter of Peter and Eliza (Moore) Kelley.
Louise was an Assistant Manager employed by J.J. Newberry Company for 30 years, retiring in 1947.
She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Gardner. She enjoyed crafts, knitting and crocheting, and her favorite television show was "Archie Bunker".
Louise was the oldest living resident of the town of Hubbardston, and on June 23, 2011 she was presented "The Boston Post Cane" by the Town of Hubbardston Council on Aging.
Louise was predeceased by her first husband, Roger Paradise who died in 1932, and by her second husband, Alfred L. Gagne who died April 15, 1989.
She leaves one daughter, Dorothy M. Pond and her husband Phillip of Marlboro; two grandchildren, Michael P. Pond and his wife Beth of Hubbardston, with whom she lived, and Linda McFarland and her husband John of Marlboro; three great grandchildren, Dylan, Nolan and Philip Pond; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her three brothers, John, Chester and Ollo Kelley and by her four sisters, Eileen Hancock, Mildred Hill, Beartrice Rouleau and Florence Bushway.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, December 19th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 166 Cross Street, Gardner. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Gardner.
Calling hours in the funeral home will be Sunday, December 18th from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
