Louis J. "Lou" Thibeault, 89, of 125 Connors Street, Gardner, died Monday, February 2, 2015, in Heywood Hospital, Gardner, following a brief illness.
Born in Rumford Maine on March 24, 1925, he was the son of the late Sylvestre and Domitille (Comeau) Thibeault .
Louis was a pressman employed by Mead Container of Gardner for 25 years, retiring in 1983.
He was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner.
Louis enjoyed walking, doing puzzles and he cherished spending time with his family.
He leaves his wife of 66 years, Rita M. (Theriault) Thibeault of Gardner; two sons, Thomas L. Thibeault and Nancy Lawrence of Fitchburg and Steven A. Thibeault of Fitchburg; two grandchildren, Marci Rasmussen and Kellie Perkins; three great-grandchildren, Kaeli Rasmussen, Connor Rasmussen and Liam Perkins; several nieces, nephews and cousins; several brothers and sisters in-law and eight Godchildren whom he was very proud of. Louis was predeceased by his daughter, Janice White and her husband Robert White; four brothers, Arthur Thibault, Camille Thibeault, Joseph "Pony" Thibeault and Clement Thebault; and by two sisters, Theresa Cantin and Regina "Pat" Foster.
A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, February 7th at 12:00 p.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner at a later date.
