Louis R. Laliberte, 75, of Gardner, died peacefully Wednesday, July 6, 2022, in UMass Medical Center, University Campus, with his family by his side.
Born on November 26, 1946, he was the son of the late Rene and Annette (Richard) Laliberte. He graduated from Narragansett Regional High School with the Class of 1964. Louis was Foreman employed by Seaman Paper Co. for several years prior to his retirement.
He was a parishioner of Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner. Louis loved playing cribbage, an occasional trip to the casino, and playing bingo. He was an avid sport fan, especially of the New England Sports teams, but his greatest enjoyment was the time that he spent with his family.
Louis leaves one daughter, Wendy Laliberte of Athol; one brother James “Jimmy” Laliberte of Gardner; one sister Therese Salame and her husband George of Lancaster; two grandchildren, Tyler Kulvete and Katreena Larson; one great-grandchild Micah Kulvete; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was predeceased by his wife, Joanne A. (Richard) Laliberte; one brother Ronald Laliberte; three sisters Betty Williamson; Bertha “Cookie” Bagdonas, and Renette Laliberte.
A Calling Hour will be held on Friday, July 22, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, July 22, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, West Street, Gardner, MA.
