Lorraine Y Ptasienski

July 11, 1927 — February 17, 2009

Lorraine Y. (Girouard) Ptasienski, 81, of 19 City Hall Avenue, Gardner, died suddenly Tuesday, February, 17th in Heywood Hospital, Gardner.

Born in Gardner on July 11, 1927, she was the daughter of the late James and Amanda (Williams) Girouard.

Lorraine was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, Gardner.

She like to spend time attending auctions and collecting antiques. Lorraine enjoyed watching television and politics, and was a huge fan of "Bill O'Reilly".

Lorraine was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Anthony F. Ptaskienski, who died February 14, 2001.

She leaves one brother, James Girouard and his wife Teresa of Gardner; one sister, Jeanne Pollastri of Gardner; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by three brothers, Frederick, Gerald and Joseph Girouard; and by four sisters, Georgianna Haines, Rita Turgeon and Lena Trembley and Irene Anderson.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 21st from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner at a later date.

A calling hour in the funeral home will be Saturday, February 21st from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
