Lorraine Y. Francoeur

Lorraine Y. (Levasseur) Francoeur, 84, of Gardner, died peacefully Friday, April 15, 2022, in her residence surrounded by her family.

Born in Edmundston, New Brunswick, Canada, on April 27, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Dennis and Leontine (Cyr) Levasseur. Lorraine was an Inspector employed by Nichols and Stone of Gardner for several years prior to her retirement. She was previously employed by Collier-Keyworth of Gardner and Ray’s Plastics of Winchendon.

Lorraine was a parishioner of Annunciation Parish/ Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner. She was a member of the West End Beagle Club of Gardner. Lorraine enjoyed going for walks, cooking, and dancing. She loved the ocean and enjoyed taking trips to visit it. Lorraine’s greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren, always treasuring their time together.

Lorraine is survived by her daughter, Ginette Gauron of Gardner; a son, Gilles Francoeur and his wife Gina of Gardner; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three sisters, Rena Sirois of Madawaska, ME, Jackie Sterling and her husband Doland of Frederickton, NB, Canada and Ida Lalonde and her husband Pierre of Gardner; a brother Guy Levasseur and his wife Wanda of Minto, NB, Canada; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was predeceased by her husband, Reno Francoeur; two sons, Daniel and Richard Francoeur; three sisters, Nicole Nadeau, Aurore Maltais, and Lucienne; and a brother, Cyr Levasseur.

Graveside Services will be held Friday, April 29, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. in Notre Dame Cemetery, West Street, Gardner, MA. A Celebration of Life will follow at the West End Beagle Club, 110 Clark Street, Gardner, MA.
