Lorraine M. (Bastarache) Boucher, 86 of 125 Connors St., Gardner, died Thursday, October 13, 2011 in her residence following a long illness.
Born in St. Lazare, NB, Canada on December 3, 1924, she was the daughter of Adelin and Edna (Martin) Bastarache.
Lorraine was a sander employed by Nichols & Stone Co. of Gardner for many years until retiring in 1991. She previously worked at George Bent Co. of Gardner.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church.
Lorraine's greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her family.
She was predeceased by her husband of 37 years, Edouard A. Boucher, who died November 23, 1986.
She leaves one son, Denis J. Boucher and his wife Diane of Gardner; one sister, Vine Legere and her husband Gerard of Cormier Village, NB, Canada; 2 grandchildren, Lauren C. Boucher of Washington, DC and Ross A. Boucher of San Francisco, CA; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a son, Roger J. Boucher who died in 1991, a daughter, Linda M. Boucher who died in 1953, 4 brothers, Desire Bastarache, Oswald Bastarache, Yvon Bastarache, Cloris Bastarache, and a sister, Philomene Richard.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 18th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols St., Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
Calling hours in the funeral home are Monday, October 17th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
