Linda M. (Johnson) Dick, 61, of 104 Church St., Gardner and formerly of 9 Risley St., Gardner, died Sunday, January 20th in Heywood Hospital, Gardner following a brief illness.
Born in Gardner on January 24, 1946, she was the daughter of Ewald A. and Edith V. (Nelson) Johnson.
Linda was a cashier employed at Stop & Shop of Gardner for 7 years until retiring in 2007 due to illness. She was previously a receptionist employed by Dr. Alexander Norskey in Gardner and in Fitchburg.
She was a 1964 graduate of Gardner High School. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gardner and was a member of the Templeton Fish & Game Club. Linda enjoyed shopping, flea markets, collecting Santa Claus figurines, doing puzzlebooks and bowling.
She leaves her husband of 27 years, William C. Dick, Jr. of Gardner; one aunt, Helen (Johnson) Annala of Troy, NH; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by 5 brothers, Paul E., Carl H., Ewald A., Donald M., and Richard A. Johnson.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 23rd at 10:00 a.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner. Rev. Andre Gariepy, former pastor of Holy Spirit Church, Gardner, will officiate. Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery.
Calling hours at the funeral home are Wednesday, January 23rd from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
