Leta P Cormier (Tatro, Hutt)

Leta P. (Tatro) (Hutt) Cormier, 81, of 47 Lake St., Gardner, died peacefully Friday, October 15th in UMASS Memorial Hospital, 119 Belmont St., Worcester, surrounded by her family, following a long illness.
Born in South Ashburnham on March 17, 1929, she was the daughter of Joseph and Zadia (Brown) Tatro.
Leta was an assistant manager employed by the former Rich's Department Store of Gardner for 20 years, retiring in 1990.
She was a 1947 graduate of Gardner High School and was a member of the Chestnut Street United Methodist Church of Gardner.
Leta was a member of the local and national chapters of A.A.R.P of Gardner. She enjoyed traveling, knitting, watching television, particularly Wheel of Fortune and the Boston Red Sox, making crossword puzzles and especially loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Her first husband, Floyd W. Hutt, died in 1972.
She leaves her husband of 23 years, Norman "Minzi" Cormier of Gardner, 1 son, Douglas W. Hutt and his wife Nicole of Gardner; one daughter, Susan Martin and her husband Steven of Ormond Beach, FL, 2 brothers, Joseph H. Tatro and his wife Pauline of Gardner, Rev. Donald E. Tatro of Dedam; 1 sister, Ruth White of Gardner; 3 grandchildren, Eric, Todd, and Samantha Hutt; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three sisters, Zadia Smith of W. Roxbury, Alice Nutting of Gardner and Wanda Tatro of South Ashburnham.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 20th at 10:00 a.m. in Chestnut Street United Methodist Church, 161 Chestnut St., Gardner. Burial at a later date will be in Wildwood Cemetery, Gardner.
Calling hours at the funeral home are Tuesday, October 19th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
